After some time, movements become more natural, the racket has come handeable, more actions are being dared to be taken.

It's possible to play badminton in future with pleasure and have fun with other people on court, and make good friends with some of them. Because of the mission of this site, that is playing and developing badminton from an analysis of the game, here is dealt with how to come further into the game and reach a higher playing level.
According to what is said here-above, a summary of playing badminton can present the game as being aware of the badminton situation. This is, when standing on the court, having an oversight over the court, over the positions of the opponents on their court, over the own position on court and perhaps the partners', and further the insight where the shuttle could be hit to, and how the shuttle possibly could come back and with this the own position therefore. Further beneath is broader dealt with it.
But, when giving attention to these features of the game, it has to be recognized that this way of playing badminton is done within the environment of the club, with so many other people playing and socializing.
Now, in the sporting club has also to be dealt with people who already longer or much longer are playing. Some of them possibly are going to show how exactly to perform some strokes, or going to communicate their insights in playing. Others, sometimes good players, seem to neglect you and your playing, but knowing that you have to develop your own game. Some players adjust their play to yours to make it a nice experience for their opponents.
How to cope with these asking social interactions? Dealing with all these social interactions can by listening to the explanations and advices and looking how others are performing their play, but thereafter then staying self-conscious and confident, being clear to yourself and maybe to the others, in that from their knowledges possibly much can be learned, but that the own personal play has to be formed. Further beneath is dealt with that.
It has to be dealt with the customs peculiar to badminton too. In some clubs everybody is playing with each other, at other clubs loose groups have been formed of people who can play well with each other, being groups of friends, or groups of players with a certain playing level. At some places people are being welcomed, in other places new players have to deal with the situation mainly for themselves.
The way of playing badminton differs from one place to an other too. At some clubs there is much socializing in between and during play, at other places the emphasis lays on competitive play and results.
At some clubs are techniques and condition the main features of playing, at others are tactics and strategies the main issues.
At some places particular systems and uses are common, at other clubs the own wishes how to play are most respected.
How to handle these different playing attitudes and visions on playing badminton? Respectfully understanding of the different ways of playing badminton and then sticking to the own self-consciously playing is the way of dealing with this. Of course, much could be learned from these different manners.
Much can also be learned from trainers and books. But the game that is going to be performed then is the possession of the player and he or she decides by him or her self how to play.
Building up the own game
When got used a little to deal with the customs of people, club and badminton sport, attention can be given to building up the own game.
When becoming self-confident and self-conscious on court, a way of playing from the given situation can be established. This is in fact a natural way of playing and developing of the game. Namely, it is based upon human natural actions and reactions. To broadly name some: wishes to challenge oneself, seeking borders for oneself, competition with others, outing of feelings. And others: controlling things, moving spontaneously from the given possibilities of the body, the self regulating fantasy, the direct understanding of situations.
When thinking how the game will be played, the frame within which is being played can described first:
Firstly, being aware of the basic playing situation. That is done by opening the mind for everything concrete that concerns the game. That is, where the court is, the net, the opponents at the other side, the partner, the shuttle, self.
Secondly, being aware of the aim of the game. That is realizing unreturnable strokes.
Thirdly, being aware of the continually changing of chances and possibilities, given by the positions of the “chess-peaces”, which are the players with their rackets, and the shuttle.
Fourthly, being aware of having to act and react continually by placing the shuttle and taking positions on court.
More concretely, when playing, the whole playing situation is in sight, this being the court, net, players, and shuttle. Fantasy will then help to see the possibilities for placing the shuttle, which means difficultly to the opponents, which then means depending on their positions and stances at the court.
The shuttle then will be placed as far as possible behind the opponent, or as far as possible in front of him, or as far as possible aside from him. Also might be perceived that a very hard stroke could be given to one place or another. Maybe a variation of a stroke looks like beneficially, like a very high one to the rear court or a faster horizontal one. Strokes in front of the opponent can be varied too in flight and tempo.
Asking oneself how the shuttle could come back will help adjusting the position on court appropriately. The position then will be sought, from which it is possible to cover the court evenly, which is so far from the net that the rear line is yet reachable, and over the width of the court.
During doubles play, the same placing of the shuttle can be applied, but with more variations possible. So can the covering of the court, which is however partitioned by the partners, whereby the allocation of the parts of the court depends on the situation. Quickly looking around will help to estimate which part best can be chosen.
The main view when playing is keeping the sight on the whole court, and meanwhile deliberately playing the strokes. Playing is done in a spontaneous way, continually reacting to things happening. Don't think, do.
